The change to know before Monday is small: where your bus goes. In an October 2 notice, RideKC says that from Sunday, October 4, southbound Route 50 stays on Brookside Boulevard rather than entering the Plaza Transit Center loop. Northbound routing is unchanged by this update.
Route 47 is getting revised scheduled times, and RideKC asks riders to review the new timetable before traveling. We have not checked individual departures; RideKC’s timetable has them.
If you usually board southbound Route 50 at the Plaza Transit Center, that bus no longer comes into the loop, and RideKC’s new route information shows where it runs. If you ride Route 47, a schedule screenshot from last month may now be wrong.
RideKC describes reliability and travel-time benefits. We have not watched buses run the new routing or measured either claim. One graphic on the notice is still headed ‘Proposed’, while the effective-date heading and the text announce the change.
